Feedback: |
After you submit your resume it may take months or weeks before someone gets back to you about the job application. Until then you have no real way of knowing how you've gone and what the employers think of your resume.
|
In order to find out how effective your resume is, rather than waiting for a response, it is better to show other people (particularly those with experience in the industry or in HR) to get their opinion. We can do this by creating an online survey where our peers view our resume in a PDF or .docx and answer questions as to how well they respond and view your resume.
Activity #3: Create a Feedback Survey
Using ProProfs, create an online survey that helps you evaluate the effectiveness of your resume. Have at least two people in class complete this survey. For this activity you will need to make an account with ProProfs using an email address (use your TSHS one).
You will need to think carefully about the type of questions you will ask that is going to help you identify and eliminate individual bias, as well as evaluate the different elements of your resume. e.g
Do you have preference for fancy fonts?
Do you have short-sightedness and require extra large fonts to read?
On a score of 1 to 10, rate the clarity of this resume?
